Ring in the New Year – Ukrainian Style!
The Selo Ukrainian Dancers were honoured to be invited to perform at the 2020 Plast Malanka on Saturday, January 25. The Plast Malanka was held in the very elegant Grand Ballroom at the Hotel Fort Garry and is Winnipeg’s largest Ukrainian New Year’s celebration. The dancers debuted a dance entitled Зимові Святкування – Winter Celebrations … new choreography, new music and new costumes! Symbolic of carollers bringing Christmas greetings and New Year’s wishes, the Selo Ukrainian Dancers dancers genuinely bid each of the guests at the Malanka good health and much prosperity in the year to come. The dancers also brought the crowd to their feet with the dynamic performance of Hopak!!
